The World's Racist Standard Of Beauty: Double Eyelid Surgrey In East Asians

Double eyelid surgrey is a type of surgrey that East Asians undertake to achieve an eyelid that looks like that of someone of Non-East Asian ancestry. The quote below is from Wikipedia.

 According to this site double eyelid surgrey is the most common type of cosmetic surgrey in China and overall China in 2009 was the most popular way the Chinese spend discretionary income. Now the idea of the surgrey according to some is to look more attractive but that gives an assumption that East Asians' eyes are inherently ugly.

Which they are not!

But in our world which has a Eurocentric racist standard of beauty anything that isn't, well European-like is deemed ugly and unattractive! Its a common theme for people the world over to alternate their being to emulate this Eurocentric standard of beauty. This may be to gain social status, economic status, for self esteem purposes or because you want to ''fit in''

So Dr Glavas you perpetuate the racist standard of beauty instead of helping people see there's diversity in beauty?  Great job!

The video below is of Tyra Bank and Liz a East Asian American who went double eyelid surgrey she claims she did the surgrey because her eyelid was beginning to ''sag''? Yet she isn't even 40...

She mentions how as a Child she was bullied about her East Asian eyes this obviously seeped into her sub-conscious only reinforced by the media who perpetuate the racist beauty standard.

Asians in the Western Countries have to put up with ignorant people mocking their accent, mocking their languages, stereotyping them and of course the ''chinky eyed'' gesture. As this blogger states here:

 The sad truth is many Asians internalise this and decide to take surgrey that could possibly make them blind all in the name of internalised white supremacy ideology.
